We’re looking for a passionate and skilled Forest School Teacher to join our team and inspire young learners through outdoor, child-led learning in beautiful natural settings.
Location: Primary schools and woodland sites across North Manchester
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Part-time or full-time roles available (term time)
Salary: £130 - £150
The Role:
As a Forest School Teacher, you will:
Plan and lead Forest School sessions that promote independence, resilience, and a love of the natural world
Use outdoor environments to support children’s physical, emotional, and social development
Foster curiosity, risk-taking, teamwork, and problem-solving through nature-based play and activities
Work with children from Early Years to Key Stage 2, adapting sessions to meet a range of needs and abilities
Collaborate with school staff to link outdoor learning with curriculum objectives and pupil wellbeing
About You:
Qualified teacher or Level 3 Forest School Leader
A strong understanding of child led, holistic learning approaches
Passionate about the outdoors and confident leading groups in all weather conditions
Excellent behaviour management and communication skills
Committed to inclusion, safety, and pupil wellbeing
