We’re looking for a passionate and skilled Forest School Teacher to join our team and inspire young learners through outdoor, child-led learning in beautiful natural settings.

 

Location: Primary schools and woodland sites across North Manchester

Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Part-time or full-time roles available (term time)
Salary: £130 - £150

 

The Role:

 

As a Forest School Teacher, you will:

  • Plan and lead Forest School sessions that promote independence, resilience, and a love of the natural world

  • Use outdoor environments to support children’s physical, emotional, and social development

  • Foster curiosity, risk-taking, teamwork, and problem-solving through nature-based play and activities

  • Work with children from Early Years to Key Stage 2, adapting sessions to meet a range of needs and abilities

  • Collaborate with school staff to link outdoor learning with curriculum objectives and pupil wellbeing

About You:

  • Qualified teacher or Level 3 Forest School Leader 

  • A strong understanding of child led, holistic learning approaches

  • Passionate about the outdoors and confident leading groups in all weather conditions

  • Excellent behaviour management and communication skills

  • Committed to inclusion, safety, and pupil wellbeing
