Cover People are recruiting for a dedicated Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Wythenshawe from September 2026. The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
• Previous experience supporting children within Key Stage 2
• A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• The ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents
• A patient, caring and adaptable approach
• A commitment to supporting the learning and wellbeing of every child
• Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and inclusive classroom practice
Key Responsibilities:
• Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons across Key Stage 2
• Work with small groups and individual pupils to reinforce learning
• Provide targeted intervention support in English and Maths where required
• Encourage pupil independence, confidence and positive behaviour
• Help prepare learning resources and maintain an organised classroom environment
• Support pupils' social, emotional and academic development throughout the school day
