Location: Oldham
Employment Type: Full time or Part time, Mon to Fri 8:30AM to 3:30PM (flexible on the days)

Cover People are seeking enthusiastic individuals to work in mainstream secondary schools across Greater Manchester in support roles, working within your chosen subject department! This is a fantastic opportunity for recent graduates to try a new career path, to strengthen your subject knowledge and develop your interpersonal skills. Key responsibilities may include:

  • Build rapport with students in small groups or one to one intervention
  • Work closely with the class teacher to support student academic, social and emotional development
  • Support the delivery of engaging and interactive lessons.
  • Assist teachers with lesson planning and classroom management.
  • Inspire and motivate students to develop an interest in your chosen subject
  • Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements:

  • BSc or equivalent, MSc or PhD OR Certificate of Education
  • A passion for education and working with young people.
  • Strong subject knowledge
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to build positive relationships with pupils and colleagues
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one through Cover People UK.
  • No classroom experience required, but experience working with children or in a school setting is beneficial
