Year 6 Teacher – Long Term Role (Ofsted Rated ‘Good’ School)

Location: Wythenshawe (M22)
Position: Year 6 Teacher
Start Date: October 2025 (or sooner)
Salary: £140 - £180 per day

Cover People are excited to be working with an Ofsted rated Good Primary School in Wythenshawe who are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Year 6 Teacher for a long-term placement. The school is recognised for its warm and welcoming ethos, supportive staff, and high aspirations for all pupils.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced or an Early Careers KS2 teacher who enjoys working in Upper Key Stage 2 and is keen to make a real difference in preparing children for their SATs and transition to secondary school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons across the Year 6 curriculum.

  • Prepare pupils for SATs and support them in achieving their full potential.

Essential Criteria:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

  • Previous experience teaching in KS2, ideally Year 6.

  • Strong understanding of the National Curriculum and SATs preparation.

  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.

  • A proactive, flexible, and positive approach to teaching.
