A supportive primary school in Stockport is looking for a dedicated SEMH Support Assistant to work with pupils who require additional help with social, emotional and mental health needs.
The Role

Supporting pupils with SEMH needs on a 1:1 basis or in small groups

Helping children regulate emotions and manage behaviour

Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils

Working closely with teachers, SENCO and pastoral teams

Promoting a safe, structured and positive learning environment
✅ We’re Looking For Someone Who
✔ Has experience in SEMH, behaviour support, youth work or similar roles
✔ Is calm, patient and resilient
✔ Can act as a positive role model
✔ Is confident managing challenging behaviour
✔ Has a DBS on the update service (or willing to apply)
