We’re working with a primary school in Stockport looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant who can support pupils that need a bit more guidance, structure and encouragement to thrive.
What This Role Looks Like
You’ll be supporting children with additional needs – this could be ASD, SEMH, ADHD or speech and communication needs.
Your day might involve:
- Working 1:1 with a pupil who needs extra support
- Helping children manage emotions and stay engaged
- Breaking down learning so it’s accessible and achievable
- Being a consistent, positive role model
- Supporting the class teacher and SENCO
What Kind of Person Does Well Here?
- Calm under pressure and naturally patient
- Someone who can build trust quickly with children
- Confident managing behaviour in a positive, structured way
- Experience in schools, care, youth work or similar is a big plus
- You’ve got a DBS (or happy to get one sorted)

Pay: £90–£110 per day
