SEN Teaching Assistant – Irlam
Location: Irlam, Salford
Contract: Long-Term / Potential for Permanent
Pay: £90–£110 per day (depending on experience)

Cover People are delighted to be working with a welcoming and inclusive Primary School in Irlam, who are looking to appoint dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils with a range of special educational needs across the school.
The school has a warm and supportive team, a strong focus on inclusion, and a genuine commitment to helping every child thrive — academically, socially, and emotionally.
The Role:

Support pupils with additional needs (e.g. autism, ADHD, speech and language, SEMH).

Provide 1:1 and small group interventions to help pupils access learning.

Work closely with teachers, the SENCO, and other support staff.

Promote positive learning behaviours and build strong relationships with pupils.
About You:

Previous experience supporting children with SEN (in a school or similar setting).

Patient, nurturing, and resilient, with a calm approach to challenges.

Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification preferred.

DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply).
