About the Role
Cover People are delighted to be working with a welcoming primary school in Gorton, who are seeking a compassionate and dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant. This role involves providing focused support for a pupil with additional learning needs, helping them to engage fully in the classroom and thrive both academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver tailored 1:1 support to meet the pupil’s individual needs.

Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement personalised learning strategies.

Encourage independence, resilience, and positive behaviour.

Adapt resources and activities to ensure accessibility and engagement.

Build strong, trusting relationships with the pupil, staff, and parents.
About You
We’re looking for someone who:

Holds a Level 2 or 3 TA qualification (or equivalent experience).

Has experience supporting children with additional needs, ideally in a primary setting.

Is patient, empathetic, and adaptable.

Can work as part of a team while showing initiative and creativity.
