Cover People are seeking dedicated and compassionate 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistants to work within several “Good” Ofsted-rated schools across North Manchester. These rewarding roles involve providing tailored support to individual pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them to thrive both academically and emotionally.
About the Role:

Provide one-to-one support for pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN), including Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, and communication difficulties

Assist with classroom activities, behaviour management, and implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs)

Encourage independence, confidence, and social development

Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and parents to support pupil progress
Requirements:

Minimum 6 months’ experience in a UK school setting (essential – even if you have worked abroad)

A DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one through Cover People
-
Genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Driver’s licence and own transport desirable but not essential
