SEN Teachers Needed – Day-to-Day & Short-Term Cover
Cover People are looking for passionate and dedicated SEN Teachers to work on a supply basis across a range of supportive and inclusive schools in Tameside.

The Role
As an SEN Teacher, you’ll deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons that meet the needs of students with a range of learning differences and developmental needs. Depending on the nature of the cover, lessons may already be pre-planned.
Your responsibilities may include:

Teaching and supporting students with a range of special educational needs (social, emotional, communication, and learning needs).

Adapting lessons and resources to suit individual learning plans and abilities.

Creating a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment.

Supporting pupils’ personal development, behaviour, and wellbeing.

Collaborating with SEN staff, support assistants, and parents to ensure consistent support for each learner.
About You
We are looking for someone who:

Holds QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent.

Has experience teaching students with SEN in mainstream or specialist settings.

Understands the challenges faced by students with additional needs and demonstrates empathy, patience, and creativity.

Can adapt quickly to new environments and build positive relationships with pupils and staff.

Holds or is working towards an SEN qualification or has undertaken relevant SEN training (desirable but not essential).

All pay rates quoted include 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This role is offered on a temporary, flexible basis.
