Cover Supervisor – Sports Coaching Experience Preferred

Cover People UK is currently recruiting a Cover Supervisor with Sports Coaching experience to work across secondary schools in Stockport.
This role is ideal for individuals with a background in sports coaching, physical education, or youth development who are confident leading groups of young people and managing behaviour in a structured school environment.
The Role:

Supervising classes during teacher absence using pre-set lesson materials

Managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a focused learning environment

Supporting pupils to remain engaged and on task

Leading PE or sport-related cover lessons where required

Following school behaviour and safeguarding policies

Providing feedback to teaching staff at the end of lessons
Requirements:

Experience in sports coaching or working with young people

Confident leadership and strong behaviour management skills

Ability to adapt to different subjects and year groups

Professional, reliable, and proactive approach

Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
Previous school-based experience is advantageous but not essential for candidates with strong coaching backgrounds.
