About the Role:

Cover People are currently recruiting for a Design Technology Teacher to join a supportive secondary school based in Salfordstarting from Monday 1st September!

This is a full time temporary opportunity for a passionate and reliable educator to make a real impact. The successful candidate will be expected to plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons in DT across KS3 & KS4 and contribute positively to the school community.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching in line with national curriculum standards
  • Monitor and assess pupil progress effectively
  • Manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment
  • Contribute to department planning, meetings, and wider school initiatives
  • Support the academic and personal development of all learners

Person Specification:

Essential:

  • QTS or equivalent UK teaching qualification
  • Experience teaching KS3 & KS4 DT (Resistant Materials, Graphics, Technology)
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management
  • A passion for teaching and pupil progress
  • Right to work in the UK
