Cover People are working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in South Manchester, who are seeking a passionate, confident, and proactive Higher Level Teaching Assistant to support pupils across the school. As part of a dynamic team, you’ll play a key role in shaping a positive classroom environment, delivering interventions, and leading whole class cover when needed – all while being supported in your own professional development.
Your Role Will Include:

Delivering engaging learning: Support learning across the curriculum and lead lessons when covering for teachers.

Stepping up with confidence: Provide whole-class cover on a daily basis using supplied lesson plans.

Supporting individuals and groups: Run small group and 1:1 interventions to help every child thrive.

Creating a calm and focused environment: Use effective behaviour management strategies to support learning.

Collaborating closely: Work hand-in-hand with teachers, SEND staff, and parents to ensure no child is left behind.

Monitoring progress: Help assess, track, and feedback on pupil development.
✅ What We're Looking For:

A qualified HLTA (or equivalent experience) with a proven track record in primary education.

Strong classroom presence with excellent behaviour management skills.

A flexible, positive attitude and ability to hit the ground running.

Confident leading lessons and adapting to different age groups or needs.

A team player who communicates clearly and supports wider school life.

A commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil well-being.
