About the Role
Cover People are seeking a confident and capable Year 7 Maths Tutor to support students working below age-related expectations in the Heaton Chapel / Stockport area. This role is ideal for a Maths specialist with experience in intervention and SEND support, looking to make a tangible impact on student progress.
Dates: Immediate start – up to two terms
Days: Full-time, 5 days per week
Focus: Supporting students with Maths learning needs, including those with SEND or additional learning needs
Key Responsibilities

Deliver engaging, differentiated Maths tuition to Year 7 students

Implement effective intervention strategies to support progress

Track pupil progress and provide constructive feedback

Collaborate with staff to support learning needs

Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment
Essential Criteria
-
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

Experience teaching Maths to KS3 students
-
Familiarity with KS2–KS3 curriculum and intervention strategies

Strong classroom and behaviour management skills

Right to work in the UK
