About the Role:
As a Year 2 Teacher, you will be responsible for leading a class of enthusiastic pupils through the final year of Key Stage 1, preparing them for their transition into Key Stage 2. You will plan and deliver engaging lessons, assess progress, and provide the encouragement and guidance pupils need to thrive academically and personally.
Key Responsibilities:

Deliver high-quality, creative, and inspiring lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum.

Prepare pupils for KS1 assessments (SATs) and track their progress effectively.

Create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment that promotes positive behaviour.

Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and carers to support children’s learning.

Contribute to the wider life of the school, including extra-curricular activities and events.
Essential Criteria:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

Experience teaching in KS1 (Year 2 experience desirable).

Strong understanding of the Year 2 curriculum and assessment frameworks.

Excellent classroom management and organisational skills.

A genuine passion for supporting young learners to succeed.

All pay rates quoted include 12.07% statutory holiday pay. While this is initially a temporary role, permanent opportunities may become available for the right candidate.
