Primary School Teachers – Multiple Roles

Location: Bury (Multiple Primary Schools)
Contract: Full-time / Part-time / Day-to-day / Long-term

Cover People UK is currently recruiting Primary School Teachers to work across a number of welcoming and supportive schools throughout Bury. We have opportunities available across all primary age groups, with particular demand for EYFS specialists and experienced Year 6 teachers.

These roles are suitable for both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced practitioners seeking flexible, long-term, or permanent pathways.

Current Areas of Need:

  • EYFS Specialists – strong understanding of early development, phonics, and continuous provision

  • Year 6 Teachers – confident in SATs preparation, assessment frameworks, and end-of-key-stage expectations

  • General class teachers across KS1 and KS2

The Role:

  • Planning and delivering engaging, well-structured lessons aligned with the national curriculum

  • Creating inclusive and positive classroom environments

  • Assessing, tracking, and supporting pupil progress

  • Maintaining strong behaviour management

  • Working collaboratively with school staff and leadership teams

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential

  • Recent experience teaching in a UK primary school setting

  • Strong curriculum knowledge within your specialist key stage

  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills

  • Professional, flexible, and proactive approach

  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
