Primary Teaching Assistant – Bury
Cover People are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Primary Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and welcoming Primary School in Bury. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in children’s learning and development, while gaining valuable experience across different key stages.
The Role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll:

Support teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons

Work with individuals and small groups to boost confidence and learning progress

Assist pupils with additional needs, ensuring inclusion and participation

Help maintain a positive, well-organised classroom environment

Contribute to the wider school community and uphold its values
Requirements:
✅ Relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (e.g. Level 2 or Level 3)
✅ Minimum 6 months’ experience working in a UK school setting
✅ DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply through Cover People)
✅ Strong communication skills and a positive, proactive attitude
Driving licence and own transport – desirable but not essential
Experience supporting SEN pupils or working across different year groups – desirable
