About the School:
Cover People UK are working with a “Good” Ofsted-rated Primary School in Oldham who are seeking dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to join their team after the October half term. This is an exciting opportunity to support pupils with a range of additional needs and make a real difference to their education and wellbeing.
Role Overview:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and the SENCO to provide tailored support to pupils, ensuring they are fully included in classroom activities and able to reach their potential.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN

Assist in implementing individual education plans (IEPs)

Support behaviour management strategies and encourage positive engagement

Prepare resources and assist in delivering differentiated lessons

Work collaboratively with class teachers, SENCO, and parents
What We’re Looking For:

Experience supporting children with SEN in a school or youth setting
-
Patient, empathetic, and resilient personality
-
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Minimum 6 months experience within a UK school setting - Mainstream or SEN

Driver’s licence and own transport preferable (but not essential)
Compliance Requirements:

Must be willing to register with Cover People UK

Hold a valid DBS on the update service, or be willing to apply for a new certificate through Cover People UK
