We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to join a highly reputable and supportive primary school in Partington. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine impact, supporting children with a range of additional needs across EYFS, KS1 and KS2.

The school has a particular focus on:

  • EYFS and KS1 pupils with SEN, including autism and communication needs.
  • KS2 pupils with SEN and behavioural needs, requiring consistency, resilience and a nurturing approach.

This role would suit candidates living in Trafford, Warrington, Salford and surrounding areas due to travel links to Partington.

About the Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support EYFS and KS1 pupils with autism, communication difficulties and complex learning needs.
  • Provide behaviour support and tailored interventions for KS2 pupils.
  • Work 1:1 and with small groups to deliver personalised learning and promote independence.
  • Help deliver a curriculum focused on practical, real-world learning experiences.
  • Build positive, trusting relationships to encourage engagement and personal growth.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists and support staff to ensure strong outcomes for all learners.
  • Support behaviour management, communication strategies and daily routines both inside and outside the classroom.

About You

  • Experience supporting children or young people with SEN (school, youth work or care backgrounds welcome).
  • Patient, empathetic and proactive in your approach.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Understanding of SEND strategies and EHCPs is beneficial.
  • A positive team player with a flexible, solution-focused mindset.
