About the Role:
Cover People are currently recruiting passionate and adaptable General Cover Teachers to work across a range of supportive secondary schools in the South Manchester area. We have immediate opportunities for flexible, short-term supply teaching that allows you to make a real difference—without the commitment of a long-term role.
This is a great opportunity for reliable and confident educators who enjoy variety in their working week. You’ll cover lessons across different subjects and year groups, ensuring learning continues smoothly in the absence of the regular class teacher. We’re looking for quick-thinking teachers with strong classroom presence and excellent behaviour management skills.
Our partner schools across South Manchester are welcoming and well-organised, and they’re looking for local supply staff who can build consistent relationships and provide high-quality classroom cover on a week-to-week basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Efficiently log behaviour points/safeguarding incidents
- Ensure students are completely the set cover work during the cover lesson
- Manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment
Person Specification:
Essential:
- UK QTS
- Experience teaching UK curriculum
- Strong classroom and behaviour management
- A passion for teaching and pupil progress
- Right to work in the UK
