Humanities Teacher – Secondary School

Location: SK17
Contract: Full-time / Long-term
Start Date: ASAP

Cover People UK is currently recruiting a qualified Humanities Teacher for a secondary school located in SK17. This is an excellent opportunity for a committed and enthusiastic teacher to join a supportive department and deliver high-quality Humanities education.

The school is seeking a teacher with strong subject knowledge and the ability to teach across Key Stages 3 and 4. A specialism in History, Geography, or Religious Studies is highly desirable.

The Role:

  • Teaching Humanities across KS3 and KS4

  • Delivering lessons in your specialist subject where possible

  • Planning and preparing engaging, well-structured lessons

  • Assessing, tracking, and supporting pupil progress

  • Maintaining high standards of behaviour and classroom management

  • Contributing positively to the wider department and school community

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential

  • Experience teaching Humanities in a UK secondary school

  • Subject specialism in History, Geography, or Religious Studies (preferred)

  • Strong classroom management skills

  • Professional, reliable, and proactive approach

  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
