PE Teacher – Secondary School

Location: Levenshulme, Greater Manchester
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Full-time / Long-term opportunity

Cover People UK is currently recruiting a passionate and energetic PE Teacher to work within a secondary school in the Levenshulme area of Greater Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive school environment where sport, teamwork, and student engagement are highly valued.

We are looking for a confident and motivated teacher who can inspire pupils to develop their fitness, confidence, teamwork, and enjoyment of sport across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.

The Role

  • Deliver engaging PE lessons across KS3 and KS4

  • Encourage participation, teamwork, and healthy lifestyles

  • Plan and deliver structured lessons aligned with the PE curriculum

  • Manage behaviour effectively in both classroom and practical environments

  • Support extracurricular sport and school sporting activities where appropriate

  • Work collaboratively with the PE department and wider school staff

We Are Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant secondary teaching experience

  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills

  • Passion for sport, physical education, and student development

  • Ability to motivate and engage secondary school pupils

  • Professional, reliable, and adaptable approach

Essential Requirements

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service – essential

  • Ability to work within the Levenshulme area

  • Willingness to be registered with Cover People UK

Candidates must hold a DBS on the Update Service and be registered with, or willing to register with, Cover People UK to be considered for this role.
