About the Role:
Cover People are currently recruiting for SEN Teaching Assistants to work in a range of primary schools based in Oldham, starting immediately.
This is a rewarding opportunity for compassionate and dedicated individuals looking to support children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in various classroom settings. The successful candidate will work across multiple schools, helping children reach their full potential by providing one-on-one and small group support, both in and out of the classroom.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support children with a range of SEN including autism, ADHD, speech and language delays, and learning difficulties
• Assist in planning and delivering tailored learning programs
• Create a positive, inclusive learning environment
• Collaborate with teachers and support staff to monitor and adapt strategies for each child
• Provide one-on-one and small group support, promoting engagement and success
• Support students during all school activities, ensuring their wellbeing and safety
Person Specification:
Essential:
• A passion for working with children and supporting their development
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Flexible and adaptable across various school settings
• Right to work in the UK
Desirable:
• Experience supporting children with SEN
• Relevant qualifications or training (e.g. CACHE, Team Teach, etc.)
• Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection practices
