Upper Key Stage 2 Class Teacher

Locations: Tameside, Oldham, Rochdale & North Manchester
Pay: In line with MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)

Cover People UK is currently recruiting Upper Key Stage 2 Class Teachers to support multiple primary schools across Tameside, Oldham, Rochdale, and North Manchester. These roles offer excellent opportunities for experienced KS2 teachers, ECTs, or teachers seeking flexible or long-term placements.

The Role:

  • Teaching and delivering the curriculum across Upper Key Stage 2 (Year 5 & Year 6)

  • Planning and delivering engaging, well-structured lessons

  • Preparing pupils for end-of-key-stage expectations, including SATs preparation where required

  • Assessing, monitoring, and supporting pupil progress

  • Creating a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment

  • Working collaboratively with school staff and leadership teams

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential

  • Recent experience teaching within Upper Key Stage 2

  • Strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum and assessment expectations

  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills

  • A flexible, reliable, and professional approach

  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
