PE Teacher – Secondary School

Cover People UK is currently recruiting a passionate and energetic PE Teacher to work within secondary schools across Salford. This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire students through sport, promote healthy lifestyles, and contribute to a supportive school environment.

The Role
- Deliver high-quality PE lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)
- Promote teamwork, resilience, and physical wellbeing
- Plan and deliver structured, engaging lessons in line with the curriculum
- Manage behaviour effectively in practical and classroom settings
- Support extracurricular sports and school teams where appropriate
- Work collaboratively with the PE department and wider school staff
We Are Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant secondary teaching experience
- Strong subject knowledge in Physical Education
- Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
- Ability to motivate and engage students
- Professional, reliable, and adaptable approach
- Passion for sport and student development
Essential Requirements
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service – essential
- Ability to work within Salford secondary schools
- Willingness to register with Cover People UK
Candidates must hold a DBS on the Update Service and be registered with, or willing to register with Cover People UK to be considered for this role.
