SEMH Teaching Assistant – Be the Role Model They Need
Location: Salford
Contract: Long-Term / Ongoing
Pay: £90–£110 per day (depending on experience)
Cover People are proud to be working with a specialist SEMH unit within a welcoming primary school in Salford, supporting children with social, emotional and mental health needs.
This is more than just a classroom role — it’s about changing lives. The children you’ll support need consistency, patience, and someone who can be a positive influence and strong role model.
The Role:

Support children with a range of additional needs and behaviours

Help create a safe, structured and nurturing learning environment

Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and pastoral teams to support progress

Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils through empathy and resilience
About You:

Experience working with SEMH or challenging behaviours (school or youth setting)

Calm, confident and able to de-escalate situations effectively

Passionate about helping children reach their potential

DBS on the Update Service or willing to apply
