Roles Available: Sports Coach | Cover Supervisor | Behaviour Support

Are you a Sports Coach looking to take your skills into a school environment?

Cover People UK is recruiting confident and motivated sports professionals to work across multiple secondary schools in Stockport. We have a range of roles available including Sports Coaches, Cover Supervisors, and Behaviour Support staff.

If you have experience leading teams, managing behaviour, motivating young people, and creating structured sessions — your skills are highly transferable and in demand within secondary education.

Roles May Include:

Sports Coach (School-Based)

  • Supporting PE departments

  • Leading sports sessions and enrichment activities

  • Promoting teamwork, resilience, and participation

Cover Supervisor

  • Supervising pre-set lessons during teacher absence

  • Managing classroom behaviour

  • Keeping pupils engaged and on task

Behaviour Support Worker

  • Supporting pupils with behavioural needs

  • Promoting positive choices and emotional regulation

  • Working closely with pastoral and SEN teams

We Are Looking For:

  • Experience in sports coaching, youth work, or team leadership

  • Strong behaviour management and communication skills

  • Confidence working with secondary-aged pupils

  • Professional, reliable, and adaptable approach

  • Genuine interest in working within education

Essential Requirements:

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service – essential

  • Ability to work across secondary schools in Stockport

  • Willingness and ability to register with Cover People UK

  • Commitment to safeguarding and professional standards

Candidates must hold a DBS on the Update Service and be registered with, or willing to register with, Cover People UK to be considered for these roles.
